Charlotte/Sarasota County Editions of ‘How to Retire in Southwest Florida’ Guidebooks to be Published in early Summer 2016

Publisher seeks business people to share secrets of living, working and playing in Southwest Florida. One-hundred percent of the retail royalties will benefit the local chapters of Future Home Builder of America scholarship funds. Locally, this will benefit students at North Port High School and Charlotte Technical Center.

Tamara “Tami” Patzer, host of Retire, the radio show, and publisher of Retirement Guide Publishing, is seeking local business people to share their expertise about Southwest Florida and living in Florida for people who are moving to Florida, planning to retire or who already live in SW Florida.

“Living in Southwest Florida is like finding paradise,” said Patzer, who moved to Charlotte County in 1983 to work at Fishermen’s Village in Punta Gorda. “I have now lived most of my adult life here, and it truly is the ideal place to retire.”

The retirement guidebooks are designed to include advice from local business people who live, work, and play in the area while offering retirees insight into the secrets of the area. Southwest Florida communities have been consistently featured as some of the best areas to live and retire by many publications including: U.S. News and World Report, “Where to Retire” magazine, Men’s Health, Yachting magazine, and Forbes.

“Why not have our local business leaders tell the true story about Southwest Florida,” Patzer said. “This is an opportunity to tell our story, but it also an opportunity to help support our local economy and to help develop leaders.”

One-hundred percent of the retail royalties will benefit the local chapters of Future Home Builder of America scholarship funds. Locally, this will benefit students at North Port High School and Charlotte Technical Center.

Patzer’s team will publish “How to Retire in Southwest Florida: Charlotte County Edition”  in early Summer 2016. She is looking for local business people who can advise people who want to learn more about retiring to Charlotte County, and can answer frequently asked questions about real estate, home improvement, medical issues, finances, things to do, things to know.

”I am looking for local people who can shed some light on the  secrets that can help people adjust to this great place to live, work, and play,” she added.

To participate in the book project, business people must have a business located in Charlotte County, or serving Charlotte County residents. The only request is that those who participate help promote the book to their family, friends, clients and prospects. All interviewees will be featured on Retire, the radio show and on Business Innovators Radio Show, which is featured on IHeart Radio.

Sarasota County business people can apply to participate in the “How to Retire in Southwest Florida: Sarasota County Edition” to be also be published in Summer 2016. The criteria for the Sarasota County edition requires business leaders have businesses in or serving Sarasota County residents.
